In short
Our first conversation was about an AI teaser for an original musical. It grew into communication and social content, a cinema teaser for VOX, the multi-camera capture of opening night and, months later, a mastered film for Emirates ICE.
Strategy
Plan content that lives before, during and after the show.
Action
A 24-hour VOX teaser, a 14-camera opening night, an English and Arabic master for Emirates ICE.
VOX teaser turnaround
cameras on opening night
subtitles for Emirates ICE
How we worked
01
Creative Development
Content planned to accompany the show before, during and after the performance, not one teaser in isolation.

02
Pre-Production
Camera positions were planned around a rehearsal. When rain cancelled it, we designed enough coverage to respond live.
03
Production
A cinema teaser turned around in about 24 hours, then 14 cameras with at least eight live feeds on opening night.

04
Post-Production
DITs and editors on the ground, so production and post worked as one connected unit.
05
Delivery
Months later, mastering, formats and English and Arabic subtitles for the film's release on Emirates ICE.

The story
24 hours to make it to the cinema.
Ahead of the show's opening, a teaser was needed for VOX, with approximately 24 hours to produce and deliver it. The deadline shaped the entire workflow: instead of treating production and post as separate stages, the team operated as one connected unit. The teaser made its deadline.
The 24-hour vox teaser
Then the rehearsal was cancelled.
We had planned to use the rehearsal to anticipate key moments and coordinate camera positions. Heavy rain changed that plan, and opening night became our first chance to capture the complete performance. So we built a production capable of responding live.
Live production system
And the story kept travelling.
Months later, the client secured another opportunity: Emirates ICE. We returned to the film for a new stage of post-production, preparing the master, adapting the formats and creating English and Arabic subtitles for its onboard release.
The production had finished. The content still had somewhere to go.

Inside the Work
The long read
Every production has a starting point. For Once Upon a Time in Dubai, ours was a conversation about an AI teaser. The musical was preparing to meet its audience, and the team was exploring how content could help introduce the project to the public and potential partners. As we started discussing the show, the opportunity quickly became broader. This wasn’t simply a piece of content to promote. It was an original musical created in Dubai with a story, cast, live experience and growing universe around it. Different moments in its journey would require different kinds of communication. So rather than thinking about one teaser in isolation, we began looking at how content could accompany the show before, during and after the performance. That shift shaped everything that followed.
